Italian Cultural Center

Buffalo, NY

We are starting with a one story historic masonry library built in 1928, that should have been given Landmark Designation, with a full basement, an elevator, leaded glass windows, two large reading rooms, slate roof and an impeccable site. This building has historic details, a well designed façade and front porch. The building is 5,590 square feet; “the shell”, walls, floors and general structure are in stable condition. Our approach to this project is to design a historically sensitive renovation using the entire building. The exterior must be carefully restored to the original conditions. The basement, entrances and site will be integrated as viable parts of the entire complex, with safe access and egress.  The program, is to provide a high quality historic, long term solution for the Italian Community Center.
